The Bluegrass Junior Woman's Club (Federated August 1970) consists of women over 18 years of age who are dedicated to
improving the quality of life for disadvantaged women
and families in the Lexington area. We meet once a
month from September to May to plan our community
and social projects.

What Women's Clubs Do
*Work for better communities and the people who live in them
*Offer Women an opportunity to exchange ideas and form        
        lifelong friendships
*Promote learning and opportunities to challenge the mind
*Work for the welfare of children and senior citizens
*Are in the forefront of the struggle for the inclusion of women  
       in all areas of life

AFFILIATIONS:

Our dedicated members work together to promote women, children, and families in our bluegrass community. BJWC is an affiliate of an international women's organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service.


The Kentucky Federation of Women's Clubs
BJWC is affiliated with the Kentucky Federation of Women's
Clubs. KFWC has been in existence since 1894 and it consists
 of 135 clubs, totaling more than 5,400 members.



The General Federation of Women's Clubs
KFWC is affiliated with the General Federation of Women's
Clubs, which includes more than one million members in the
United States and in 20 countries.
