The Bluegrass Junior Woman’s Club (BJWC) has sponsored the Outstanding Young Woman Award since 1975. Candidate nomination is based on contributions to the community through volunteer, professional, and personal involvement for the period January 1—December 31. To nominate a candidate, please complete this form and send it to: BJWC c/o Kathy Young, 2165 Market Garden Lane, Lexington, KY 40509. Nominations must be received by March. The awards ceremony will be in April at our annual Gala. The winner will be named at this event. All nominees and their sponsors should plan to attend. The
nominator or officer of the nominating organization is required to submit a
letter of support for the nominee. In addition, please detail and document the
nominee’s participation and accomplishments as outlined below. Any supporting
documentation, including additional letters of support for others who are
familiar with the nominee’s qualifications, is strongly encouraged. For each
organization include membership status, offices held, awards, and details of
contributions made. Support material may be sent separately to the address
above. Photographs are optional. All materials submitted become the property of
BJWC and may be used in event promotional materials such as the event program.
