Working with Fayette County Public Schools, BJWC identifies children who need some of life’s most basic needs, such as new shoes and a new coat for school. In December, BJWC and other community volunteers will take these children shopping at Wal-Mart to buy a new pair of shoes, coat, and Christmas presents for their families. Afterwards, BJWC will have a party where the children wrap their gifts, have lunch, receive a visit and gift from Santa Claus, and receive a non-perishable bag of food for their family.
